The Mystical Dragon is a traditional dance performance with a cultural history dating back to the earliest of the Han Dynasty in Ancient China. The appearance of the sacred creature is described with prominent horns with tiger-like claws and a lengthy serpent’s body. It is believed that with such traits, the Dragon is amphibious with the ability to move on land, fly through the air and swim in the sea. In ancient times, Dragons were casted as emblems of Imperial Authority, symbolizing prosperity, fortune, supernatural powers, goodwill, fertility, vigilance and dignity. Therefore, the Dragon commands great respect and honour.
The Dragon Dance encompasses nine performers attached together over a length of 60-feet, with another lone performer commanding the Dragon Pearl. As the dance erupts, the dragon entangles and twines at great speed and aggression, portraying the powers and elegance of the mystical creature. All these carefully coordinated with drum rhythms and percussions, consisting of cymbals and gongs of various sizes.
Xin Cheng has been renowned in Singapore for numerous Dragon Dance displays and stage performances.

With the fast, gracefulness and carefully choreographed moves and maneuvers, the team of acrobatic performers displays a large array of movements and coordination in accomplishing this dance. Much camaraderie and unification is shown in the team of Dragon acrobats, portraying stunts and movements, as the Dragon dives ferociously to the smooth rhythm of the orchestral.
This choreography is suitable for all celebrations and occasions with a substantial amount of floor space necessary.

With the aid of the Ultra-Violet lighting, this performance is presented in darkness, with the dragon shining in bright luminous colors. The elegance and exquisite array of displays as the Dragon speeds through the arena in enchantment. All the action synchronized perfectly with the drums, gongs and cymbals.
A great experience to the audience as the performance requires indoors facilities and a substantial amount of floor space. This is also suitable to welcoming guest and VIPs.

This is the first and only hybrid of Chinese cultural performance encompassing of both the combination of alluring Dragon Dance with the complexity of Stilt-Walking. Xin Cheng was the first and currently the only association in Singapore to be a provider of this amazing feat, which was started in year 2000.

This magnificent mystic is performed by Ninety Acrobats, carefully coordinating with one another to control and portray the majestic dynamics of this creature.
The highlight of the performance is mainly the neat and swift coordination of the performers as the Dragon dashes around. Coupled with the drumming and percussions, this refreshing display is suitable for parades, business openings and special events like Chingay celebration. Though, a substantial amount of floor space is necessary for this performance.
